Rose Byrne, byrne, model, actress, rose, hollywood, beauty,
Like many other Australian actors, Rose Byrne started her career in a TV series from down under called Echo Point. From there, and after many other roles on Australian TV, she started appearing in Hollywood films, in very small roles in big productions. She was Dormé in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, Briseis in Troy, and the Duchesse de Polignac in Marie Antoinette until her big break in the TV series Damages, working alongside Glenn Close.
Since then, Byrne has been working steadily in both comedy and drama, surprising everyone in Bridesmaids and proving everyone she could not only do comedy and improv, but battle with the best of them, becoming a staple in the Seth Rogen world. She’s continued mixing indie and big films, and, in recent years, has also become a prestigious leading lady on TV, being the lead in Physical. Be it as a lead or supporting player, comedy or drama, when you see Byrne in a project, you know you’re going to see an interesting, unique film or TV series, and that her performance will be as fun, sad, satirical, intense, light, or dark as the character deserves, making for a great watch. Here are Rose Byrne’s 10 best movies and TV series, according to Rotten Tomatoes.
The Meddler is the story of a dysfunctional mother-daughter duo, played by Susan Sarandon and Byrne. Directed by the always great Lorraine Scafaria, this movie is about how the duo gets back into each other's lives, even if that might not be as easy as it looked at first.
Both actresses have meaty roles, getting characters who can be right and wrong at the same time, and must learn how to work together, so their relationship can improve. Sarandon’s role might be the flashiest, but it wouldn’t work without Byrne’s work as Lori, the frustrated, yet loving daughter who knows her mom means well, even if she’s turning Lori’s life upside down.
